Actually raised starfish, seareeds, fish, and textured barnacle elements in this 3D painting by Ruth Collis. Shiny clear coat to give a watery undersea look. ALL elements are entirely acrylic paint; no mixed media added.

This painting is a result of an example template made by Ruth Collis in her Thick Paint Course in development, for other people to trace over the design with this same thick paint, peel off, & place in their own painting. The drying of paint on a separate layer was also implemented by Ruth Collis into the fine art field.

This thick paint discovery can now eliminate the need to use real starfish in a painting or in decorating and save our environment with respect to the lives of sea creatures and their natural habitat.

Gritty & smooth textures were applied. Barnacles made with special brush technique; seareeds, fish, and starfish with cake decorating tips. Beveled edge canvas showcases the 3D elements uniquely.
