Three-dimensional poppies rise above their flat artistic surface in texture made entirely from thick acrylic paint in this original painting, using cake decorating pastry tips and adhered with an archival glue for fine art. This painting was the prototype for Ruth's online class on how to make a simple poppy with dimension. The background was finger-painted with colors that contrast nicely with the poppies standing out.
