This is a warm colored painting of pipe corals, or tube sponges is another name for these unique formations under the sea.

Painted here, they are made entirely from thick acrylic paint built up from the palette as skins that are then rolled into these amazing pipe corals, while saving unused paint, and preventing paint from going down the drain and not clogging pipes.

This peach colored piece was made to show students just starting out that it is possible to use less paint, make a smaller piece, and use some new thick paints out on the market to just start small and see that it is totally possible to still make something glamorous with less expense while still adding quality.

The online video course where students would learn how to make this pipe coral sculptured painting also shows how to make your own chunky textured mixes from unused paint and that are archival (lasting over time).
